DT projects for Crop, Paper, Scissors...

I was given some awesome products to work with! On Thursday my mom, Evan, and I drove to Crop, Paper, Scissors in Lewiston to pick up a few things, and talk about my upcoming classes. I also was given three projects to work on for their Design Team. I was so excited! I LOVED the papers and embellishments, especially the Heidi Grace rub-ons/paper and the Luxe black and white rub-ons. I also got a few things from Carolee's Creations and Imaginisce. Here's what I came up with:

This was one of my favorite photos from our wedding. I am trying to get out of our "get away" car, and my dress is so big and fluffy, the photographer can't even see me!!! All you see is my pink flip-flop!

This photo was taken at Point Defiance Park when I was Evan's age.

This is a photo of my Grandma and Grandpa. My Grandmother past away when I was five, and my Grandfather past away in 2004, so this photo has a lot of meaning to me.

I will be posting photos of my card class and wall banner (hopefully) tonight! Have a great Saturday!

Evan's first experience was a messy one!

Mark's in Hawai'i...

My husband went to Hawai'i without me! Right now, it is sunny, and warm, and the ocean is almost 80 degrees... can you tell I am a little jealous!?!? He did send me some cool pics:

His company has a booth at a nation wide engineering conference, so most of his time is being spent working, but he did go to a luau last night... so at least that was fun. Hope your having a great time, babe! See you soon!

swim...

I love living in a small town! We have such a fantastic community, and plenty of activities to participate in. Bethany called a couple of months ago, and she and her husband were enrolling Sophia in swim through the Pullman Aquatic Center. Of course, we had to sign Evan up! Friday was his first lesson. He had so much fun! It is right before nap time, so he was a little on the tired side, but I really think he enjoyed it. Mark went in with him, while I stayed on land and took a few photos:

Next week I think I am going to brave the locker room and join the class. I still haven't decided if I want to see myself in a bathing suit! It's been a long time... ;-)

FINALLY time to scrap... :-)

Do you ever get that feeling of being totally overwhelmed...and not know how to catch up? Well, that has been me the last week. With Mark working full time, Evan needing more and more supervision, my new job at Crop Paper Scissors in Lewiston, ID, and a house that never seems to be clean, I feel like I am going to crazy! I did buy a Memory Dock planner a while back, but over the last few months I have not been using it. I'm not sure why... I just stopped keeping track of my life, I guess. Last night I dusted off the cover, and really organized myself.

It feels good.

It makes me feel sane again.

I planned our meals for the next month... wrote up a giant to-do list... marked important dates (like our four year anniversary {of dating} that is coming up on the 14th! How exciting!)... all sorts of organized, important things. I really feel productive! Love that feeling.

I had some time Sunday night to sit and scrap actual layouts! I was so happy to be doing what I love. miniBooks and cards are great, and I love doing them, but everyday, 12 x 12 layouts are my fav. I love the instant gratification it brings me. I always feel so productive when I finish a couple of pages in one night. Like I have recorded, permanently, important facts and memo
ries of our lives. Everyday photos and layouts are the reason I started this hobby. No pressure, just fun.

I did this layout for Crop Paper Scissors using the new Karen Foster "Dad" line. I scraplifted from Jamie Waters in the June 2007 Creating Keepsakes.

I was also giving a Carolee's Creations kit to play with... it was so fun to use photos of Evan as an infant. He was only 2 1/2 months old here!

My inspiration lately has been from cool product I have lying around in my studio. Not necessarily new product, just fun, vibrant, tried-and-true supplies I love to use:

Paint... in any color.

My new, super cool, pink mini garbage can from Around the Block.

Fun ribbon.

Florals...especially in pink and green.

Buttons! I love buttons... :-)

Happy Scrappin'!

Mom & Abby...

When my family was visiting this last weekend, I took a great photo of my sister and my mom together. I loved how the photo turned out, so I wanted to share:

Aren't they cute?!?!

I believe my blog displays the time when I post, so I have to admit: yes, it really is 2:37am. I have once again stayed up WAY TOO LATE scrapbooking with my friend, Karen! She and I can talk, and talk, and talk... and soon it is the wee hours of the night. So... I am off to sleep! Happy Thursday!

Coy boy...

I love it when I capture a great Evan Expression...especially when he is really trying to ham it up:

Have a great Tuesday!
