Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Holiday Tag Alongs

Good morning! Fresh Squeezed Stamps has one final set to introduce today called Holiday Tag Alongs. This set has four frame images plus "To:" and "From:" stamps to create custom tags for presents or envelopes.

I used three of the tags to decorate plain white envelopes for Christmas! I stamped each of the images onto white cardstock, trimmed them down, then adhered them to the top left of each envelope. I decorated to the tags with wood veneers, washi tape, and enamel dots.

And don't forget to stop by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for the full reveal, more inspiration, and a chance to win this new set! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Inside Scoop: Holiday

Welcome to day two of the Fresh Squeezed Stamps October Release Week! Today I have a card featuring a fabulous new stamp set that is perfect for the outside (or the inside!) of a holiday card. I used a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park to create a fun post card looking greeting card:

Isn't the sentiment fun? I love the trendy font, too.

That's it for me! Hop on over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for more inspiration, and don't forget to leave a comment over there for a chance to win this awesome set!

RetroSketches | Challenge #87

** This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down or click here to view my release week card for Fresh Squeezed Stamps. **

This week's RetroSketches challenge is a very basic (but easily customizable!) sketch. I have a pack of aqua shimmer paper that I've been dying to use, and I paired it with a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

I colored the butterfly with a trio of Copic markers, then placed the die cut upside down in my 5 inch Xyron machine to apply adhesive to the top of the butterfly. I dumped on some glitter from Stampin' Up! to finish it off. It is very sparkly in real life! And I hate using liquid glue with glitter (more mess), and using the Xyron cuts down on the glitter explosion that usually happens on my desk when making a card like this. I thread a button and used a medium sized glue dot to adhere it on top of the glittered butterfly.

(Supplies - Stamps: (Hero Arts) Antique Flowers and Butterflies. (CAS-ual Fridays) Beanstalks. (Papertrey Ink) Background Basics: Twinkle. Ink (Memento) Black (PTI) Aqua Mist. Cardstock: (PTI) Aqua Mist, Rust White, Shimmer Aqua. Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye. Glitter: Stampin' Up!. Button: (PTI) Aqua Mist.)

That's it for me today! Check back tomorrow for another new release card for Fresh Squeezed Stamps. Thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Hello December

Good morning! It's release week for Fresh Squeezed Stamps, and I have a card featuring a trendy new set called Hello December. I used the sequin stamp from On Trend 2013 to create the background, then added two stamped images from Hello December with pop dots. The #CHRISTMAS is also from Hello December, and I stamped it directly onto the background cardstock.

Make sure to stop over at the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for more projects using Hello December, and for a chance to win this set!

CAS(E) This Sketch | Challenge #51

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I have a few new stamp sets sitting on my desk from Wplus9 that are begging to be used, and this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge was the perfect opportunity to create a Christmas card using Silver Bells and Merry & Bright.

And here is my take:

(Supplies - Stamps: (Wplus9) Silver Bells, Merry & Bright. Ink: (Memento Luxe) Northern Pine, Love Letter, Olive Grove. (Papertrey Ink) Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Black. Cardstock: (PTI) Rustic White. Patterned Paper: Echo Park. Gem: Hero Arts.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Great Impressions Stamps | Best Of Part 2

For my final Great Impressions Stamps post, I have five more cards that use some of my favorite Great Impressions Stamps. And like last week, I will link to the original blog post and stamp set(s) used.

The first card combines so many of my favorite elements: Kraft, buttons, pink, gems, hexagons, a fun swirly stamp... into one very colorful birthday card! The stamp I used was Simple Elegance, and here is the original blog post.

Butterflies are another favorite of mine (I own too many butterfly stamps to count!), and the GI Tiger Swallowtail stamp is just lovely. Here is a link to the original post.

This watering can of flowers was one of the first stamps I picked out from Great Impressions. The various blooms in the sweet little can make for a lovely sympathy card. Here is the stamp and you can find the original post here.

Autumn is my favorite season, and I couldn't resist this beautiful fall themed stamp. You can find the stamp here, and the original post here.

The final card I have to share features this lovely Flower Bouquet stamp. The red and black color combo really pops on kraft cardstock. You can find the stamp here and the original post here.

That wraps up my final post for Great Impressions Stamps. I am going to miss the wonderful women I have had the pleasure of working with this past year. Thanks for everything!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Halloween Tags

Good morning! Tracey's post last week inspired me to pull out my Frightfully Delightful stamp set and create some cute Halloween tags. I used some super fun patterned paper, polka dot and glitter buttons, and my Copic markers to create three fun Halloween tags:

I plan on sticking a tag in my son's lunch box on Halloween. I think he will like getting a small note from Mom.  :)

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

ColourQ | Challenge #211

ColourQ has provided us with another gorgeous Halloween inspired color scheme this week.

I used my favorite Halloween set (Papertrey Ink's Halloween Sweets and Treats), plus a great spider web background stamp from Hero Arts, for my card. I hung a pumpkin/spider from some bakers twine, which I taped to the back of the black cardstock.

That's it for me today! I'm off to the dentist with the boys this afternoon. Wish me luck... Jack is already protesting. I'm afraid the hygienist is going to lose a finger when she tries to clean his teeth. He can be rather stubborn at times. :)

Have a wonderful week!

RetroSketches | Challenge #86

This week's RetroSketches challenge had me pulling out several holiday/Christmas sets for my card. I used Papertrey Ink's Winter Penguin and Wplus9's Folk Art Flurries (my favorite snowflake stamp set ever!).

Here is the challenge:

And here is my take:

(Supplies - Stamps: (PTI) Winter Penguin, Fillable Frames #7. (Wplus9) Folk Art Flurries. Cardstock: (PTI) White. (Stampin' Up!) Smokey Slate. Patterned Paper: (PTI) Pure Poppy patterns pack. Dies: (PTI) Winter Penguin, Fillable Frames #7. Ink: (PTI) Pure Poppy, True Black. (Stampin' Up!) Smokey Slate. Other: Ribbon, enamel dots, stickles.)

Doesn't this little guy put you in the holiday mood? I know... it's a little early for Christmas cards. But I don't like mass producing cards (I get bored...), so I make a few dozen different cards every year. Which means I have to start early!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Great Impressions Stamps | Best Of (Part 1)

Good morning! October is coming to an end, which means I only have two more Great Impressions Stamps posts before my term is up. I thought it would be fun to go back and pick my top ten cards using some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions store. I am going to feature five in today's post, and five next Saturday. Before each card I will list the stamps used, plus a link to the original blog post where the full supply list can be found.

First up is a birthday using an adorable ice cream stamp that looks fabulous colored in or paper pieced. Stamp used: One Scoop On Top of Another. And here is the original post.

Next I have an aqua and green encouragement card using a lovely stitched flower stamp. Stamps used: Wishing You and Stitched Flowers. Here is the original blog post.

The next card features my favorite sentiment from Great Impressions. It is perfect for sending a quick note to a friend. Stamps used: Watering Can of Flowers and A Little Hello. Here is the original blog post.

Sometimes my favorite stamps are basic backgrounds. For this card, I used one stamp, Elegant Motif, and stamped it across the front of the card in several different colors. I love how this card turned out! Stamp used: Elegant Motif. Here is the original blog post.

The final card I want to share today is a favorite because of the adorable owl stamp. And a pink owl? It doesn't get any better than that! Stamp used: Love Struck Owl. Here is the original blog post.

I'll be back next Saturday with my final Great Impressions Stamps blog post, and five more favorites! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Erin.

ColourQ | Challenge #211

A couple of years ago, Papertrey Ink released a line of mini stamp sets called Flower Fusion. Each month, for only $5(!), a new Flower Fusion stamp set was available to purchase. And I had to have them all. And all 12 Flower Fusion stamp sets have been (mostly) neglected. I've used a couple sentiments here and there, but for the most part, these sets have been left un-inked.

I decide to change that with this week's ColourQ challenge. I pulled out four of the Flower Fusion sets (#3, #6, #7, and #9) to create the background for my card. I created the butterfly by die cutting vellum with a Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Butterflies die, then I stamped the coordinating image with VersaMark and head embossed with white embossing powder.

(Supplies - Stamps: (Papertrey Ink) Beautiful Butterflies, Flower Fusion #3, #6, #7, and #9. Cardstock: (PTI) White, Black. (Stampin' Up!) Strawberry Slush, Vellum. Ink: (Stampin' Up!) Basic Black, Strawberry Slush, Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie. Dies: (PTI) Beautiful Butterflies. Other: Button, white embossing powder.)

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Trendy Triangles

Good morning! Today I have a bold and colorful card to brighten anyone's day!  Trendy Triangles is the perfect set for creating bold, graphic cards!

I paired the triangles with an orange and blue color combo so it really stands out.  I added a few orange buttons and wooden stars, which I colored with Copic markers to match the buttons.  The sentiment is also from Trendy Triangles.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Papertrey Ink | Make It Monday #136

This week's Make It Monday video features a fun technique called texture stamping. I immediately pulled out my much-loved Turning a New Leaf set and this technique worked perfectly with the largest leaf image. I stamped Simply Chartreuse ink onto Spring Moss cardstock. The flowers are from Ruby Rose, and the "Thank you" sentiment is from Inside and Out: Thank You.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by. :)

ColourQ | Challenge #210

Hi there! I have a card to share tonight for this week's ColourQ challenge:

Papertrey Ink's Bubble Talk stamp set has been sitting on my desk all week, so I pulled it out for this card. I used three Memento Luxe ink pads (Daffodil, Morocco, and  Danube Blue), plus Memento black for the sentiment.

Aren't the colors yummy? I love, love, love these inks! I now have a complete collection of Memento Luxe inks, and I hope Memento releases more ink colors soon.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Welcome Baby Girl

Hey everyone! During the August release week I used the baby sentiment from Subway Series: Occasions to create a baby boy card. I really liked the layout, and decided to CASE myself and use the same sentiment to create a baby girl card.

I embossed the sentiment onto vellum, then ran it through my Xyron so adhesive covered the entire sheet. After I adhered it to my card, I embellished it with buttons, a resin cabochon, and a few enamel dots.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Wplus9 | Monday Mood Board #21

This week's Wplus9 Monday Mood Board is another gorgeous inspiration photo.

I love the bold colors and the graphic feel to the photo. I trimmed cardstock into .5" x 5.5" strips, then adhered the strips to my card front. I die cut several flowers from Fresh Cut Florals, then stamped the matching flowers from the set in Papertrey Ink's Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, Harvest Gold, Stampin' Up's Old Olive, and Memento Luxe Love Letter. The banner die is also from Wplus9 (Basic Banners).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Moxie Fab | Stickers and Tape Challenge

I have a card to share today for the Moxie Fab Stickers and Tape Challenge, which is inspired by the new Paper Crafts publication Handmade Cards. I am lucky enough to have two cards in this awesome issue!

I used washi tape to create a layered background on my card, then added a vase from Papertrey Ink's Mega Gracious Vases and flowers from Rosie Posie. The background was also stamped with Background Basics: Twinkle in VersaMark ink.

(Supplies - Stamps: (PTI) Rosie Posie, Distressed Stripes, Thanks All the Way, Background Basics: Twinkle. Cardstock: (PTI) Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold. Washi: Studio Calico kits. Dies: Mega Gracious Vases, Rosie Posie.)

Have a great week!

CAS(E) This Sketch | Challenge #48

**This is my second post today. You can see this month's Great Impressions Stamps challenge post here. **

This week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge is one I've used before (here), and a great basic sketch that can be used in so many ways! For my card I pulled out a couple of Waltzingmouse stamp sets and combined them with PTI's Bigger Blooms set. The pearls are from Hero Arts.

(Supplies - Stamps: (Waltzingmouse) Simple Sprig and Big Day - Today. (Papertrey Ink) Bigger Blooms). Ink: (Memento Luxe) Pistachio. (Stampin' Up!) Harvest gold, Lavender Moon, Hibiscus Burst, Black. Cardstock: (Papertrey Ink) Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, White. Gems: Hero Arts.)

The Big Day - Today sentiments are quickly becoming favorites. I used the birthday greeting here and the For You greeting here. They are so elegant and classy!

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Great Impressions Stamps | October Challenge

This month's challenge is to use.... a button and a bow! I just love this Christmas Tree stamp (you can see yesterday's card here), and I thought it would be fun to show a different way to use it today: stamping and embellishing with enamel dots to create a tag.

I stamped the tree with PTI's New Leaf ink, then used two different packages of enamel dots to embellish the stars on the tree.  Is anyone else completely addicted to enamel dots? I. Must. Have. Them. All. :)

That back of the tag is green, stamped with this greeting and embellished with a button and two more enamel dots.

Hop over to the Great Impressions Stamps blog to see the rest of the DT's samples, and to find out who won last month's challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Great Impressions Stamps | Shimmer Christmas Tree

Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. For today's Great Impressions Stamps post, I pulled out a couple of Christmas stamps & my silver embossing powder. I love the subtle shine of embossing powder, especially on Christmas cards!

I paired the silver embossing powder with blue shimmer paper and gray patterned paper, for a lovely holiday card. In the center of each of the stars I added a small clear gem. The sentiment was also embossed, and I added a navy button with a bow to the banner.

 (Stamps: Star Tree and Trimmings.)

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Fresh Squeezed Stamps | Birthday Bash

Welcome to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps birthday celebration! I have a card to share today featuring a new mini stamp set that you can purchase on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps website here

I cut the subway style stamp apart and stamped each segment separately onto white cardstock. The result is a multicolor sentiment that really pops!

ColourQ | Challenge #209

**This is my third post of the day. You can see my first post here, and my second post here.**

My final card is for this week's ColourQ challenge.

I used Waltzingmouse's Funky Feathers set for a CAS (mostly) one layer card:

(Supplies - Stamps: (Waltzingmouse) Funky Feathers. Ink: (PTI) Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy. (Stampin' Up!) Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight. Cardstock: (PTI) Hawaiian Shores, White. Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye.)

That's it for me today! The kids are being really, really quiet, which means (as most parents know) they are up to something. I baked homemade chocolate chip cookies today, and if I had to guess, they are quickly and quietly being consumed. Time to find a good hiding spot. :)
