I will try again...

Ok, so it looks like Blogger is working!

Off to do some laundry... :-)

As Promised...

...here are the two (I know, only two...) layouts I did for kit club. I have been super busy lately, and was on vacation for 6 days, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Anyway, here are my layouts! It was so good to see everyone at Kit Club on Saturday! See you on the 17th!

***OK, so I have tried 3 times to upload the photos, but Blogger is having issues. Maybe tomorrow. I am off to bed!

Palouse Discovery Science Center

Evan had a great time at the Palouse Discovery Science Center here in Pullman. I can't believe we have such an amazing place for kids only a few blocks from our house. Evan loved the cougar in the lobby...we spent more time there than the actual science center! He touched the cougar's "nose" and "eyes" and "ears" and "balls" (again, the eyes), and gave him lots of gentle pats.

Friday...

It's late, so I am going to be brief! Evan and I had a great day here in Puyallup, despite the wet, wet, wet weather. Now I remember why I love Pullman so much!! Anyway, we went to Olive Garden for lunch with my sister. Evan kept our fellow diners entertained by throwing his napkin/food/books/cars/ onto the floor over and over (I thought we had moved on from this stage...guess not!)...and I slowly lost my sanity. The food was great, though. I love Olive Garden bread sticks. And fettuccine. And salad. Hell, even their diet coke tastes better there than at home!

We raced home in the rain, and put cranky boy to bed. He slept for almost three hours, which was great. It gave Abby and me time to set up the jewelry table for the open house tomorrow. Right as Evan was waking up, we finished. It looks great, now I just hope nobody touches anything... :-)

Abby had a volleyball game tonight, against George Fox University. I decided to go, with an 18 month old, and I was really pleased with how he behaved! The game only went to three sets, which was perfect. We were introduced to the team, and all the girls loved Evan. He sure knows how to turn on the charm! By the time we got home, it was 9:15pm, 2 hours past bedtime. Guess who fell right to sleep?!?!

Tomorrow is the big Open House for my mom, so I have to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by the time guests arrive at 11am, so I am off to bed.

I'll post again after the Fifth Ave. show!

Jenni Bowlin Project :-)

I LOVE this month's Jenni Bowlin Limited Edition project! It is an adorable banner, make with her chipboard stars, orange glitter, vintage buttons, a cute poem, and a picture in the center! Take a look:

The quote reads: "On Halloween you must beware, for frightening things are everywhere!"

I am flying to Seattle tomorrow to visit with my folks. My mom is hosting her Fifth Avenue Collection open house on Saturday and Sunday. I am really, really looking forward to it! I plan to eat at Olive Garden, go see my sister play volleyball, spend time with my dad (I have some economics questions for him!), and help out with the open house. But first, I have to take a Western Civilization exam tomorrow morning, so I need to get some shut-eye. Good-night!

One big goose egg...

...a doctor's visit, and a torrential downpour. What more could I ask for on a Tuesday?

My dad also left a comment on my post regarding the photo he took:

Upper Snow Lake, Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Elevation about 5,400 feet, about 6.5 miles from the trailhead just outside Leavenworth.

Thanks dad!

My camera is back!

My dad took this beautiful photo while on his trip...after they had been snowed in for 16.5 hours! Dad, if you could tell me where this is (leave a comment with the info), that would be great!

Wednesday goals...

...head to Crop, Paper, Scissors before noon.
...organize my studio while Evan naps.
...read a chapter for each of my Spokane Falls online classes. OK, stay awake while reading a chapter for each of my Spokane Falls online classes. History of Western Civilization isn't exactly riveting...
...plan meals for the next two weeks.
...finally add October into my planner. I think I am in serious "October denial."
...fill out my October planner. I am already starting to overbook myself. If only I could be in two places at once...
...spend another hour devouring Ali's book. Yes, I did get a visit from our FedEx person. No, I don't know its gender. They didn't bother knocking on the door for some reason, so Lord only knows how long my wonderful book had been sitting there. I'm lucky Mark didn't run it over with his bike.
...relax. Today was crazy, and I'm not sure why. Evan was fantastic, as usual, and we really didn't do a whole lot. Got new cell phones, did a little Christmas shopping (I am almost done!), did a load of laundry. But still overwhelmed...

Hopefully tomorrow I will feel more "with it."

Still waiting...

...for my camera to arrive. My dad got back from Leavenworth on Wednesday, but no sign of my camera yet!
...for Ali's book. I CANNOT wait to read it...over and over and over and over...
...for Lisa Bearnson's Kit of the Month. I don't know who I am going to "feature," but I am really excited to receive it!
...to go to the pumpkin patch. Maybe this weekend?
...for my Jenni Bowlin kit, especially the project kit. I have been really into home decor projects this fall.

And if you haven't already, check out Kristi Ottmar's blog. She has a cute little name game going on right now. To give you a hint, my "witness protection name" is Lynn M ... that would be my mother's and father's middle names!

My camera is hiking the Enchantments...

My dad decided hiking the Enchantments (near Leavenworth) for 4 days, at the beginning of October, would be a good idea. I disagree. Despite my objection, he, and my camera, are trudging 30 miles in 4 days, in weather I would categorize as "questionable" at best. Now I know where I get my stubborn side!

He and his work buddies are in Leavenworth right now, sleeping one last night in a comfortable bed before wandering into the wilderness for 72 hours. He really wanted to take a camera with him, so Mark and I agreed we would let him borrow ours...although we did impose a "you break it, you buy it" policy! We will see if it makes it back in one piece!

I did snap a few pics before we handed over our beloved camera:

Happy October!
