Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. I pulled out my Summer Lovin' stamp set and created a fun background with line art stamps and pigment ink.

Is there anything cuter than a hot pink crab?! I don't think so. I love how this background turned out and it's super easy to do! I always start by stamping in the lower right corner and work my way up and over, making sure to keep the spacing relatively similar.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge!

I received an order of new Paper Smooches products last week, including the gorgeous fern dies I used on today's card. I love how detailed and delicate they are! I die cut one from Limeade Ice patterned paper and the other from Simply Chartreuse cardstock (both from Papertrey Ink). I stamped the diagonal stripes with Memento Luxe Pear Tart ink, and the sentiment with Archival Jet Black ink. The button is from my stash and the gems are from Hero Arts.

Stamps: Chit Chat, Kissables 2. Dies: Foliage 2.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Picture Perfect Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect challenge. I love the bright colors and graphic feel of the inspiration picture:

I used three Paper Smooches stamp sets on my card: Mini Monograms, Blissful Banners, and Teen Routine. I started by trimming four pieces of cardstock and adhered them to my card. I stamped the images, from Teen Routine, onto white cardstock with Memento Dew Drop ink and adhered it to my card. I added a "happy birthday" banner to the front, with pop dots, and added the "dude" with the Mini Monogram stamp set.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge. I love these challenges... I get a chance to pull out any stamp set I want and create something fun.

I used the Space Cadet stamp set and Speech Bubbles Dies. The patterned paper is from Studio Calico and the enamel dots are from Gossamer Blue. The space ship and alien were colored with Spectrum Noir markers and Copics.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes Challenge

Hello there! For this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge I had fun mixing and matching two stamp sets and three die sets, creating a fun "clipboard" card.

I started with a piece of patterned paper that I've had in my stash for a few years. I layered a piece of green cardstock on top, then trimmed down a piece of lined notebook paper (also an "oldie" from my stash) and adhered it at an angle on my card.

I used Paper Smooches' Clipboards Two stamps and dies on top of the lined paper. The sentiment is a combination of dies, the Birthday Word Dies, and a stamped sentiment from Party Posse. Party Posse will always have a special place in my heart as it was the first Paper Smooches stamp set I purchased, many years ago. I fell in love with the cute images and had to have it!

After I adhered the sentiment and stamped the "wishes", I still felt like my card needed something. I die cut flowers and leaves from Flowers 2 Dies, then added a handful of enamel dots and sequins.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Picture Perfect Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge. I love the inspiration photo this week!

I started by doing some tone on tone stamping with Botanicals 3. I used Impress Fresh Ink in Slate stamped on Papertrey Ink's Soft Stone cardstock. I die cut Happy Birthday five times from True Black cardstock and layered them together. After I adhered them, I used my Black Spica Marker on top for added shine.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Designer Drafts Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts challenge. Here's the sketch:

I used some patterned paper from an old Studio Calico 6x6 pad as inspiration for my card. The colors felt very tropical to me, so I pulled out Botanicals 3 and stamped a few of the leaves/flowers from that set, then fussy cut them. I die cut Frame 4 from pink shimmer paper, and the sentiment is from Sentiment Sampler. I added dimensional adhesive behind the frame and the top two flowers.

That's it for me today! Make sure to check out the rest of the design team for more inspiration!

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge. The Birthday Bash stamp set that came out a couple of months ago is super cute, and I really wanted to use the sweet cupcake on my card. I punched out a circle from Papertrey Ink Aqua Mist cardstock, then stamped the "celebrate" sentiment on top.

I stamped the cupcake with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it in with Copic Markers, and fussy cut it before adhering it with foam dots onto the Aqua Mist cardstock. I stamped the candle with Stampin' Up Regal Rose Ink, and the flame with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks (I used the rock and roll technique to get to the two colors to blend).

To create the background, I adhered strips of washi tape and patterned paper, from Studio Calico, onto white cardstock. I stamped the stars, from Seeing Stars, above and below the washi/paper. I added a few enamel dots, also from Studio Calico, and some pink and white twine to finish off my card.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes Challenge

Hi there! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Anything Goes. I love these challenges and I usually pull out all of my Paper Smooches stamps (and dies) and start playing around with different combinations.

The "thanks" stamp, from Chit Chat, is easy to color in, and I coordinated the colors with the strips of cardstock that are adhered to the card base. The sketchy stars are from the Seeing Stars stamp set. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye. I trimmed the card base to 4 x 5.5 inches, but trimmed the white cardstock to 4.25 inches wide. I wanted the white to hang off the edge of the card, but also fit in a standard A2 envelope. Trimming the card base to 4 inches also made measuring the colored cardstock easy: each strip is 1 x 5.5 inches.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge.  I used two Paper Smooches stamp sets for my card: Seeing Stars and Uplifters.

See that cute little white chipboard star? That is from an old (like, 2007 old) American Crafts chipboard pack. Yup... I'm trying to use some of my older products combined with newer products, and the white star fits perfectly here! I used some older Hero Arts gems and pearls on my card, too.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Picture Perfect Challenge

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge. I love how rustic the table is, the wood grain, flowers, and chevron pattern! I ended up using the wood grain and flowers as inspiration.

I had a lot of fun combining stamp sets (and ink colors) for this card. All the ink is either Avery Elle or Impress pigment ink, and I used four Paper Smooches stamp sets: Uplifters, Denim & Daisies, Bold Blooms, and Reflections. If you don't have the Uplifters stamp set... buy it! It has some of my favorite sentiments ever.

I used some sequins from Studio Calico, and a ton of enamel dots... mostly from Simple Stories, and a few from My Mind's Eye.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes Challenge

Good morning! I have a card to share for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challege. I used a couple of my current favorite stamp sets for this card: Lovely Thoughts and Uplifters

I used pigment inks to stamp the various pieces of the flowers and leaves. I started with the outlines, in darker colors, then filled in with lighter shades. The sentiment, from Uplifters, was stamped in Archival Black Ink. I added a few enamel dots from My Mind's Eye.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Designer Drafts Challenge

Good morning! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Designer Drafts... a super cute sketch challenge! Here's the sketch:

This sketch is very versatile and can be used horizontally or vertically. I created a horizontal card using the new Ahoy Me Hearty stamp set... and oh my goodness is it a cute set. I used a combination of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers to color in the parrot.

My only issue with my card is I didn't get a great impression with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I use this ink with Copic markers, but maybe it's time to try a different ink. If you guys have suggestions I would love to hear them!

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Hey guys! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Anything Goes.

I pulled out my new Lovely Thoughts stamp set and Roses Dies. I die cut the roses die from watercolor paper, then used two pink die inks and a water brush to color the paper. I am so happy with how this turned out. Soft and muted, but the ink covered beautifully.

I die cut the leaves from patterned paper and tucked them under my flower and the sentiment is from Lovely Thoughts.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes Challenge

Good morning! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Anything Goes.

Usually when I create a card with an open ended challenge, I start by pulling out my stamps and just see what looks fun to work with. I love the hearts from Sweet Hearts, and that is the stamp set that inspired my card.

I used three more stamp sets on my card: Chit Chat, Bee Mine, and Positive Strokes. The cute Speech Bubble Dies are another favorite of mine.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Picture Perfect Challenge

Good morning! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Picture Perfect. Here is the inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the "nature theme" of this picture, so I pulled out Happy Camper for my card. I admit I was a wee bit jet lagged when I created my card. We got home a little before 2am the morning before, and the kids couldn't get back to sleep. Three days later and our sleep cycles are still off! This cute little bear turned out better than expected and I like the final results.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Designer Drafts Challenge

Good morning! I am so happy to be sharing a card today. Mark, the kids, and I have been on vacation for the past week and I've really enjoyed unplugging (and stepping away from my studio) for a bit, but I miss posting here! Breaks are great, but I feel so disconnected from the "crafty world" when my blog is neglected.

This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Designer Drafts. I love sketch challenges. :)

When I was packing for our trip to Washington, I included a big box of Paper Smooches stamp sets. I hate feeling limited, and I am so glad I packed a ton of sets. I have been working on my December Memories album for the past month, plus a ton of Christmas and holiday cards, so I was in the mood to create something non-holiday.

I pulled out three Paper Smooches stamp sets for my card: Little Fella, Seeing Stars, and Teen Routine. I used a variety of blue and green inks for the "teen" images, and black Memento ink for the sentiment.

I am so sorry the photograph is not great... the one thing I forgot at home was my big camera. Whoops. I will hopefully pull out Evan's camera and get a better picture tomorrow.

**ETA I have uploaded a new photo. Thanks for understanding!

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Hello, hello! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is Anything Goes. I pulled out the Spectrum and Sentiment Sampler stamp sets, plus the Rainbow die for my card. How cute is that unicorn? It totally reminds me of the My Little Pony toys I had as a kid. One of my friends has a daughter who just turned nine, and this card is for her.

I die cut the rainbow from six pieces of cardstock (Papertrey Ink's Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, silver foil, Sweet Blush, Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst). The unicorn was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in with Copic markers. I added the sentiment from Sentiment Sampler, and some star gems from the November Freckled Fawn kit.

RetroSketches | Challenge #144

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Retro Sketches challenge. Here's the sketch:

I purchased the Paper Smooches Falling for You stamp set earlier this year, as well as the dies, and I pulled out both for today's card.

I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the monster after I stamped and die cut it. I stamped the sentiment onto a Studio Calico tag, and the puffy stickers are from my Studio Calico December Daily kit.

I hope you can play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Paper Smooches Sparks | Anything Goes

Good morning! Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge.

I pulled out a new set, Cute Fruit, for my fun red and green card. And no, it isn't a Christmas card! But it does feature a handful of adorable smiling strawberries and a super fun sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Uplifters stamp set, and the red textured paper is from Studio Calico.

That's it from me today! Check out the rest of the design team for more inspiration:
