Papertrey Ink | Repeat and Lift Challenge

The second card I have for you today is for this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge: Repeat and Lift.

The Wonderful Words series provides so many amazing extra big sentiment stamps and dies, and I used Wonderful Words: Thank You for my card :

(Supplies - Stamps: (PTI) Wonderful Words: Thank You. Ink: (PTI) Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf. (Memento) Black. Cardstock: (PTI) White, Limeade Ice. (Stampin' Up!) Coastal Cabana. Dies: (PTI) Wonderful Words: Thank You, Coffee Cozy Details Dies. Patterned Paper: Studio Calico.)

I tried working with lighter colors (aqua mist and summer sunrise), but wasn't successful. I think darker colors work better to create the shadows behind the first stamped image. The layered ink looked fuzzy at first, but after I added the die cut over it, the whole look is really cool.

I have one more post planned for today. Hopefully the kids can play quietly for a few more minutes so I can get it done. Thanks for stopping by!

Love the repeated "thank you" & agree the darker inks work better for this technique.
