JBS Rocks!

The first project I worked on was the Project Kit for September (Welcome Sign):

I love how it turned out! The photo of Evan is priceless...and the I loved all the black glitter!
The next project I worked on was August's Project Kit, the birdhouse...complete with a nest, silver bird, and three eggs!

Right now I have the birdhouse sitting on top of our dvd shelves, in our family room. I am not sure if it is going to stay there...but it sure is cute!

Tonight I am teaching a layout class at Crop, Paper, Scissors from 6:30p-9:30p...hope you have a wonderful Monday!

I know...

it's been a week since I posted! Yikes! I worked on two Jenni Bowlin kits tonight...and got them both done! I am going to take pics tomorrow and post then...goodnight!

Retreat was AWESOME!

What a crazy weekend! This trip was my first "retreat" as a scrapbooker, so was unsure what to expect. But man, were my expectations exceeded! Kristi and I arrived around 5pm Thursday evening. We had time to unpack, eat dinner, then dive into our scrapbooking! I powered through 35 pages (26 layouts), in three days. At the end of the weekend, I was amazed how much I had accomplished! I would stay up until 2 or 3 am, and wake up at 8:30 the next morning, ready to scrapbook. I had gathered all my photos, paper, and a sketch for each layout, so I was able to cut down the amount of thinking I had to do!

This was the group from our cabin. We had such a fun bunch of women!

The Palouse Divide Lodge.

Kristi and me. We had such a blast! She and I get along so well, and I am blessed to have such a fantastic friend. Love ya', Kristi!

Tami and Cory...these two are crazy! The "broke into" our cabin, using their crop-a-dile and adhesive gun as weapons! It was hard to take them too seriously in their crowns and camo face paint! Not to mention their pink camo t-shirts... :-)

We took Kristi's station wagon on our trip, and man can you cram it full of stuff! This is what it looked like when we were all packed up...

Hopefully I will be posting layouts soon! I have to head into Spokane tomorrow to pick up my books, school starts on Wednesday for me! Yikes! I am soooo not ready! I am going to be stopping in Loon Lake to visit with some of Mark's family we haven't seen in a while. Wednesday I need to get down to Crop, Paper, Scissors to prep for my layout class (next Mon. night at 6:30p!). Friday night is the Nez Perce fair, and Saturday is kit club! Sunday, DishNetwork comes to see about hooking up a satellite, and Monday is a class! So I am going to be busy, busy busy this week, but I am looking forward to it!

Photo for Dad...

With Scrapbook Camp (retreat) in just a couple of days, I have been super busy ordering prints. I am finally going to put together some pre-made layouts from Lisa Bearnson's June kit of the month...long story short, I got some photos, and this one photo my dad wanted me to put on my blog so he could copy it, and use it as his background on his computer at work. Complicated enough for you?!?! So...here it is:

I can't believe how little Evan is in this photo! This was taken on November 16h of last year... he wasn't even 8 months old. He wasn't even mobile yet! I can hardly remember what that is like!

I took this photo yesterday, right before they left:

We love you guys! Thank you so much for coming...see you in three weeks!

Family, Jewelry, a Bonked Head, and Golf...

...equals one very busy weekend for us. My parents arrived a little after nine last night, ending a very long day for them. My dad is a Tax Analyst for a company out of Renton, and my mom is a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Franklin Pierce School District, and of course they both had to work yesterday! After their "real jobs" they hopped in the car, and 300 miles later they were here! My friend, Merry, hosted a Fifth Ave. show today, which was a lot of fun. I didn't really know the girls she invited all that well, so it was nice spending time with them. Mark, my dad, and Evan went to Spokane to pick up Mark's new, fancy guitar. He traded in two guitars for a new one...it's black and shiny. And it sounds nice. So, I think it is exactly what Mark wanted!

During the show today, Mark brought Evan into the Recreation Center (in our apartment complex), to show off Evan's new forehead...he had fallen into the wall and bashed it, leaving a good size red mark, and a goose egg. Lovely. So, not only did he not nap, he also has a bump the size of Texas on his head!

Today was a lot of fun, but I am definitely ready for bed. I can only handle so much excitement in one day...
