Studio Calico | Sunday Sketch

Hi there! A few weeks ago I pulled out my May Studio Calico card kit and created a card using a sketch posted on the SC Blog. They have a Sunday Sketch challenge each week, and although I'm too late to participate in the challenge, I really liked the sketch and decided to create a card anyway. Here's the sketch:

I flipped the sketch from horizontal to vertical, and used an awesome sentiment from the May card kit as the focal point of my card. I added a few copper stars and sequins, and two pieces of patterned paper, also from the card it.

I hope you are enjoying the start of summer vacation! I am so glad I get to spend this time with the boys, and we have a ton of fun activities planned in the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Studio Calico | Blue Note & Copper Mountain

Hi there! I have a card and a layout to share tonight, using December's Blue Note card kit & January's Copper Mountain scrapbook kit (from Studio Calico). I used this week's Sunday Sketch as inspiration for both my projects.

First up is the card. I really like this navy and white star paper and I used it for the background of my card. The sentiment is from December's stamp set, and the pink and silver stars are from a different kit (I can't remember which one).

My layout features a picture of my nephew, Carter. Isn't he darling?!? I love this photo. He is about a month old and I love his sweet little face! So cute.

I am slowly making my way through my kits from November, December, and January... my goal is to "kill them" before my February kit arrives sometime late next week!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I will be back tomorrow with a card for next week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge (Anything Goes!). See you then!
