Still snow on the ground...

...at Sunnyside Park. I was totally shocked when we drove up and their was snow everywhere. It has been in the 40s and 50s for a couple of weeks, and there was still over a foot of snow in some places. Evan was so wet and muddy by the time we left, but he enjoyed running & jumping & playing outside for a bit.

I have so much to share, I am making a list so I remember everything! Ok, so here is goes:

1.) How cool is this? I am really excited to recieve my "prize pack"...the Noteworthy line is my favorite Making Memories line so far!

2.) Happy (belated) Valentine's Day! Mark, Evan, and I had a great day (minus the studying Mark had to do). I woke up to french toast and bacon, and Mark got me an adorable card and speakers for my MP3 player. I was not expecting such a cool gift! I finally got around to making Ali's Vanlentine miniBook Wednesday night, and gave it to Mark:










3.)We had amazing cherry cheesecake for dessert. Yum!



4.)Also at the Making Memories blog, they are asking for designers to submit their pages, using MM products, to be considered for a hosting spot during March. And apperently they are asking for run-on sentences as well, but it's after midnight, so I am excused. I did this layout tonight, and I am linking to a few past layouts as well:

5.) I got my TSV from QVC and had to put the "LOVE" banner together, just in time for V-Day:



Sorry the photo is a little crooked. I was standing on our rocking chair (yes...rocking chair), trying not to kill myself, while taking this photo. I tried taking a pic strait on, but the glare off the DVD case was obnoxious, and I couldn't get the lighting right, and... you get the idea.

6.) Just a quick & cute layout I did of my little boy. Quick, cute, and he was totally busted jumping on the futon. Little bugger.

I totally love Ali's Weekend Creative challenge she posted on her blog today. The different colored butterflies are so visual & pleasing to the eye. Mark and I were out running errands tonight, and Michaels was on our list. I picked up the Martha Stewart punch and drop shadow frame she used for her project. 90 mintues later, you get this:

A bit down...

...because of more snow today, and both my boys are sick. Will be back when they are feeling better :-(

Snow Day

For the first time in three years, WSU cancelled classes due to snow :-) It was so nice to have Mark home, and we are really excited because WSU anounced school will be closed tomorrow, too. Yippee!!!

We did manage to take Evan out in the snow for a few minutes this afternoon. I was certain we would last about 2 minutes, but he surprised us and enjoyed the snow.





I love four day weekends!

Evan is 22 months old today...

...and he's got quite the attitude!

I must have heard "no" one hundred times today... but he is still an awesome kid :-)

Perfect.

I am in love with my 7Gypsies ATC holder! I love the little cards it comes with...so I had to create my first ATC tonight! I used Emily Falconbridge's art journal challenge as my inspiration. Our first "word" is feel.


It felt so great to get into my studio and really play with products. I used four colors of Making Memories paint, which I layered on my card. I mixed in a piece of sheet music, and added a cool circle stamp (with white paint) on top. I added my alphabets, and covered the whole thing with clear glaze (also MM). While it was still wet, I added Martha Stewart ultra-fine glitter. I added one more layer of glaze, and finished it off with cute little dot rub-ons from Stampin' Up!. The back of the card is painted light green, and I stamped the date on a Heidi Swapp journaling spot and adhered using paint.

And I created a layout! I am so proud of myself! I love this photo of Mark and Evan:



Happy Martin Luther King day!

Not been in the mood...

...to scrapbook. In almost 7 years, I cannot remember the last time I said that. I don't know what my problem is, but I have been doing other things to fill my time. On the New Years Day, Mark purchased a Wii. I was never allowed to play video games as a kid (my mom thinks they will rot a child's brain), so we didn't have them in the house. I guess my friends didn't have them either, because I only remember touching a Nintendo controller once in 22 years, until Mark brought home the Wii, of course! I am not too excited about the super competitive games, mostly because I always lose, and I really don't like losing all the time. I was getting really frustrated, so Mark got me a Sims game, and I love it! I have become more familiar with the controller and Nunchuck (is that not the most disgusting word?!?), and I also like how non-competitive it is. You can't really lose...you have to create a town, build houses, and make virtual furniture for these fictional homes. I love decorating each home to suite the individual "Sims" needs...it's almost like playing "house" as a kid.

I have also started reading again, for pleasure. It has been awhile since I picked up a book for fun, so I raided my sister's book collection while we were home for Christmas, and I must say she does have great taste. I started reading The Hot Flash Club while I was in Puyallup, and finished it in less than two days. I recently ordered The Hot Flash Club Strikes Again, off of Amazon, and I started, and finished it tonight. I even started the third book in the installment. I love them! I also read Accidentally Yours by Susan Mallory (simply wonderful), and a couple others I have really enjoyed. Oh, and Eat Pray Love, which was good too. I was reading the second section of Eat Pray Love (the main character is in India), at the same time my dad was in India, so that was neat. I felt like I was in Mumbai with him...sort of. In a very remote, much colder weather kind of way.

Krsiti W. and I are heading up to Spokane tomorrow with Ben and Evan, so that should be interesting. Evan wasn't exactly a prince the last time I took him into a scrapbook store, so I am dreading it slightly. Not because I don't want to go to Spokane, I just don't want to be dealing with an almost two year old at the same time. Such is life, I guess.

Sorry I've been MIA...

I only have about five seconds to post...having Mark's boss and his wife over for dinner, and really don't have time! Anyway, I thought I would share this photo of Evan:


He has been doing this when he gets in trouble or when he is given food he doesn't want to eat or he simply wants to pout. How cute is that?!?!

Anyway, I'm cleaning my studio so Pam and I can scrap tonight + I still have to shower.
